Autism & Sensory-Friendly Santa by KFM Making a Difference and Hoboken Special Needs Parents Group

Santa was at Camp Liberty!

More than just the usual photo opportunity with the "Big Man" of the season, Santa's Sensory Friendly Event brings the holiday spirit with an hour of festive fun for children and their parents!

Children got to find out about all the magic behind what it's like to really become one of Santa's very own helper elves by learning their secrets and partaking in typical elf activities! They got their very own santa hat, helped create a holiday card, learned the secret elf dance, and then took home a very special photo with Santa!

This year we welcomed FROSTEE THE SNOWMAN, Mrs. Claus, Reindeer and Penquin who loved to sing carols and tell seasonal stories with our Elf Helpers!

Camp Liberty Refugee Campaign - Bring a Refugee to Camp Liberty!

Every summer Camp Liberty is proud to offer scholarship spots to families so their children can attend camp.

Thank you to everyone who has donated already.
Your support helps keep Camp Liberty accessible to all!

This year, along with our annual scholarship program, we are partnering with wonderful organizations like Church World Service- Jersey City and Welcome Home to bring recently resettled refugee children to Camp Liberty.

Thanks to all of our amazing donors....

OUR GOAL WAS REACHED DUE TO ALL OUR AMAZING FRIENDS!!! WE RAISED MORE THAN $10,000 TO BRING 18 RECENTLY RESETTLED REFUGEE CHILDREN TO CAMP LIBERTY FOR THE SUMMER!

Thanks to your generosity, 18 recently resettled refugee children will be attending Camp Liberty this summer at no cost to their families!

This campaign really struck a chord with people. The campaign link was shared almost 450 times on Facebook and we have received wonderful messages of encouragement from all over the country. We are grateful not only for the donations but for the way multiple communities have come together for this cause.

Monster Workshops at Camp Liberty!

Happy Halloween from Camp Liberty! And thank you to everyone who came out for our Halloween Monster Workshops on Saturday!

We're already planning for next year >:)

Educational Arts Team Sets Sail!

This year, the Educational Arts Team and Camp Liberty partnered with the Bayshore Center at Bivalve to offer two sunset sailing events on June 27th and July 11th. Campers and their families, staff members, board members, JC Officials, and supporters mixed and mingled as the AJ Meerwald sailed around the Statue of Liberty at sunset. Guests got to hoist the sails, learn the history of the famous oyster schooner, dissect a live oyster, and make a model of ocean floor pollution!

Thank you so much to the guests of these events, as well as to the staff of the Bayshore Center and the AJ Meerwald crew for helping to create two memorable events!
