This past Saturday, over 150 members of the Jersey City community came to Camp Liberty for some Halloween Fun! Festivities included pumpkin decorating, scary stories, DIY Treat-or-Treat bags, and ghoulish games such as a mummy relay race and apple bobbing. The afternoon ended with an adorable costume parade, where we watched tiny villains, heroes, animals, and other fun characters strut their stuff! A good time was had all around. We hope you join us for next year’s celebration!
Well, it’s hard to believe but here we are – Summer! And here at the Educational Arts Team, summertime means one thing…CAMP LIBERTY!
We are delighted to see so many old friends and returning campers, and equally excited to meet our new campers and first-time younger siblings!
Everyone has been enjoying the activities offered here at Camp Liberty, including:
Sports: Basketball, Soccer, Handball, Kickball, and Softball
Swimming (in our newly-lined outdoor pool!)
Arts & Crafts
Music (including our new drumming circle tent)
Board Games and Small Group Games
Drama and Theater Performance
Session 1’s big performance this year was a rendition of the Irish Folktale “The Man Who Had No Story.” Campers debuted as adorable fairies, banshees, and leprechauns.
